Kindred Spirits: A Celebration of the Human-Animal Connection

Introducing a New Multimedia Storytelling Project by Artist Kelly Brewer and Writer Beth Pride

Kindred Spirits: A Celebration of the Human-Animal Connection

A quick glance at Artist Kelly Brewer’s twenty-five year portfolio and it is clear that animals are her favorite subject matter. The cow kicked off her career and remains, metaphorically, her “comfort food.”

In all of my books, there are furry friends who play significant roles in the healing of the human characters.

These animal pictures Kelly and I draw are no accident. In fact, we are drawn to animals for the many reasons we will unveil through our new multimedia story project, Kindred Spirits: A Celebration of the Human-Animal Connection.

For anyone who remembers the Common Wealth of Kentucky Project (2022), the structure and purpose of KINDRED SPIRITS is similar. We will share part of the story as we go along through social media collaboration, then the project will culminate with an inspirational art exhibit, the sales of Kelly’s astounding animal artwork, and a beautiful coffee table style book that will time-capsule the project’s essence. Proceeds from all sales will benefit various animal and human charities.

We hope you will join us on this journey. For now, we need your help finding as many human-animal stories as we can. If you have a story or know of one that needs to be shared, please click this LINK and fill out the brief form.

Let’s start learning about and celebrating our KINDRED SPIRITS.
