Professional
I’m a teacher, coach, salesperson, manager, Excellence Czar, and storyteller in equal measure and in no particular order. An education gestalt, my professional life has many chapters, stories within stories.
Chapter One: I taught high school English, Creative Writing, and coached girls’ soccer. Not much I love more than a room full of clever teenagers who make me laugh all day long.
Chapter Two: During the baby years, I sold a women’s high-end clothing line (romanced the collection), a professional move I took for granted but was graduate school for what happened next.
Chapter Three: For 13 years, I served as Admission, Marketing, and Financial Aid Director at an independent K-8 school in called The Lexington School. Chapter Four: Bethinc. The principles of school business are applicable to a much larger landscape. With Bethinc., I’ve honed in on the work I love the most. I help not-for-profits, start-ups, and small businesses advance their missions.
I’ve collected experiences, stories, techniques, and systems for taking something good and making it great. It is the collective experience of what I know as a teacher, salesperson, storyteller, and “average user,” that moves empathy, intuition and research in building powerful messages and improved culture.
